Tattoo Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential to ensuring your tattoo heals beautifully and remains vibrant for years to come. Here are some tips to keep your new tattoo looking its best:

Leave the bandage on for 2-4 hours after your artist originally bandaged it. When the allotted time is up you will need to remove the bandage. So proceed to wash your hands and remove the bandage.

Gently wash your tattoo with mild soap and warm water, then pat it dry with a clean towel. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing the tattoo, as this can irritate the skin. From here, you will wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day.

After 2-3 days you will notice your tattoo might feel super dry and uncomfortable. This is normal. Wash your tattoo, and if that doesn’t take care of that feeling, pat your tattoo dry and apply a small amount of fragrance-free lotion. A SMALL AMOUNT!!! If you see a shine or glare, you are using too much.

Typical heal time is 10 days to 14 days. Some people will take longer but this is a typical heal time.

Do not pick, rub, or scratch at your tattoo.

Do not have it Exposed to direct sunlight until healed. That means no tanning!

Do not soak your tattoo. This includes baths, hot tubs, pools, lakes, oceans, rivers, long showers, and basically anything that will submerge your tattoo for too long. Shower like normal, GET IN AND GET OUT.
